Grandchildren & Guest Artists

Grandchildren

I have  spend many hours teaching and watching my various grand children start to paint.

It is magical to watch their artistic styles develop as they explore the imaginative world of painting and art.

They paint with great gusto and produce interesting images with a variety of colours. Over time as their skills develop, their paintings evolve to resemble important things and images in their lives. I have included samples of these paintings from 4 to 10 year olds.

Examples of their recent work is listed below.

Biographical:

Michael Lawry - Regional landscapes

Michael has been painting landscapes and seascapes in oils since his retirement in 2017.

Michael states that I paint what I see that I have to paint .”  Generally this is around the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.  Cobalt blue skies generally dominate and have a light touch impressionist style.”

During this time he has been a regular contributor to the various Art Galleries and Art shows on the Fleurieu Peninsula and has had experienced painting sale success. Michael is a deep thinker about life which is expressed in his work. He does with humour and humility. It is simply a  delight for Michael to be part of my Art Platform.

You can contact him directly on email: henrygeton@gmail.com

Ms Philippa Bess on Queensland Flora and Fauna

I am delighted and excited to welcome to the Godofredo website an exciting and passionate painter, Ms Philippa Bess from Queensland who paints with clarity and distinction, the environment around her  in Queensland.

Philippa specialises in detailed paintings of the beautiful tropical flora of Queensland and its associated fauna. Her paintings in acrylics, pastels and prime colours are precise, detailed and with rich vivid colours that reflects her deep and passionate understanding of these relationships of nature. I am constantly amazed by Philippa’s ability to blend the flora and fauna to-gether, as one would see in the wild. Her exquisite detail underlies her true mastery of capturing the important moments in her Queensland environs.

Philippa commenced her craft recently after retiring from work as a Town Planner. It is now her passion and she uses every spare moment to express her view of nature as she sees it. She is a  prolific painter of all forms of nature.

Philippa attends regular art classes with Art School Co. and is part of the Sunshine Coast Art Group. She is inspired by both traditional and modern Australian landscape painters, particularly local Sunshine Coast artists including Amanda Brooks, Kendall Perkins and Shelly Harkness.

It is great to have her as part of the Godofredo website and as it provides a vibrant dimension on Australian landscapes with the details of the flora and fauna that inhabit it.

Philippa can be contacted by email pbess@outlook.com.au ( trade mark as  "Pippa and Me").
